Whenever I consider purchasing something I always factor in the cost and length of time for service. Looking at under $300 for the majority of warranty issues for an extended 27 month warranty and $320 for the Tread+ warranty, I believe you should buy the extended warranty.
Lets say you have the Bike and the 27 month warranty is $230, pretty much most repairs will be at least $200 if you have to pay a certified tech an hour or more to come out.
If just your bearings go out on your bike, the tech will cost about $100 and parts about $30. Right there one repair costs $130. If your screen, resistance system, or most other larger parts on the Bike or Tread go out, you will always be ahead if you purchase the warranty vs not having one.
I would say consider your options and always purchase extended warranties for this product.
